These high-quality chairs were designed and built from the original Titanic Deck Chair. From the hand-carved star on the headrest to the custom-made solid brass hardware, this chair is like no other steamer chair in its quality and design.
The chairs come fully assembled and are 'ups-able'. They come with a brass name cardholder on the back (like the original) and a booklet detailing the history of the original deck chair, from which these were made. They also fold up flat for easy storage.
A certification brand can be found on the underside of the chair. The mahogany wood used was from a government-controlled reforestation program. It is the only steamer chair suitable for indoors as well as outdoors. Makes a great gift too!

The Titanic Deck Chair Company of Nantucket was founded in 1998 by friends Ian McCarthy and Ralph Cook, Jr., the owners of the original Titanic Deck Chair which was recovered in 1912 by Captain LeMarteleur while onboard the cable ship "Mackay-Bennett." The mission of the Titanic Deck Chair Company as set out by the two, was, and is, to produce ultra-high-quality deck chairs that are exact reproductions of the original and to share the lessons and legacy of the Titanic and their stories.
